The challenge
- Delivery requests, partner stores, and driver assignments lived across email threads and spreadsheets.
- Adding a new partner store meant re-teaching the process rather than configuring a system.
The approach
- Modelled the dispatch flow as a single data model: request, quote, assignment, completion.
- Built the partner marketplace so a new store can be onboarded through configuration.
- Shipped in short increments with the operations team using each release in production.
The outcome
- South End Exchange launched as the first partner store on the platform.
- Oak Island Exchange joined as an expansion partner for large-item delivery beyond Charlotte.
- Dispatch coordination moved out of inboxes and into the platform.
