How to install Annotated Chrome Extension

A short install video will sit here. It is not published yet.

What it does

A margin note that stays attached to the source.

  • 01

    Side panel

The Chrome extension opens a side panel next to the page you are reading. Capture a passage without leaving the tab.

  • 02

    Text, video, and audio

Select article text or a range of video or audio. The note sits on the source, not in a separate document pile.

  • 03

    Clips stay short

Hosted media excerpts are 90 seconds or less. Only the range you selected is processed.

  • 04

    Typed or spoken commentary

Write the note, or record a voice comment and attach it to the excerpt.

  • 05

    Public feed

Published annotations land on a public feed. Follow accounts and comment on notes.

  • 06

    Always links to source

Every annotation keeps the original URL. The excerpt is attribution, not a replacement for the page.

  • 07

    File a claim

If published material infringes your rights, file a claim with the operator. Copyright complaints are in the terms.
